The Spirit of Christmas

Angel, Angel in the night,
how com'st thee here
shining so bright.
What beckons thee
to trim our fair tree,
with ribbons of rainbows,
and light that I see.
How blessed it is,
and... it must be,
for angelic hands
to drape it so grand.
Your gold, so bright
when spreading your wings,
A shimmering light
and radiant gleams.
Angel, our angel,
oh heavenly  sight,
We welcome you home
if only one night.
Someday you'll be waiting,
I know that it's true,
for it will be our turn..
returning to you.
